Online The students have been learning about the Earth, sun and the moon and their relationship to

In this activity, the students will access Phases of the Moon to view the phases of the moon
from space and the orbit it takes around earth. The students will be instructed to also click on
the Show view area to see which part of the moon is visible from the Earth during the phases.

The students will be assigned groups and work together in a group chat to discuss why we
see the phases of the moon and how the appearance of the moon changes as it moves
around the earth. The Teacher will be available via email to answer any questions.

There will be a class discussion about the moon and its phases, discussing terms, etc. and
discussing their observations. Microphones will be required.

The Students will then decide how they would describe what they have learned to a group of
third graders (for example) and create a Power Point to accomplish this. They will need to
