Activity In this activity, students will be working in groups on
technology and are creating atoms and learning about
elements through the app, Happy Atoms.
This is a digital teaching tool that allows students discover
the world of molecules in an intuitive, hands-on way. This
interactive learning tool combines a digital app and if you
desire-with a physical modeling set that lets students
approach chemistry from a different angle.

In this activity, students will download the app Mural to
their devices.
The teacher will assign collaborative groups and students
in each group can use sticky notes to jot down ideas either
by drawing or typing. These are flexible elements that
force you to synthesize and organize your thoughts by
using images, links and videos to support your ideas.
Groups of students can collaborate to study information
and ask questions. Mural is great because it encourage a
lot of brainstorming ideas together to figure out how
things work and it can be used as a platform for students to
help each other by visually learning. For example if
groups of students are studying atoms of a particular
element are alike but are different from atoms of other ,

they can start jotting ideas on notes.

In using the app, students can See the difference between

elements, see the forces that bond them together,
experiment with ways to combine them and discover the
relationships between molecular structure and properties.
As the teacher, I will explain how to use the app. I will
explain to each group that they should work together to
build atoms and study the chemical elements. I will use the
information they have learned and incorporate it into a MURAL lets students visually organize your ideas and
quiz . collaborate with others remotely. So no matter where
students are located, they can brainstorm, design, and map
content in a virtual workspace
