D. A. R. E. Program for Fifth and Sixth
Graders
Officers Steve McDonald and Chris Trues-
dale have agreed to offer the D. A. R. E.
program to our fifth and sixth grade stu-
dents. The program is a series of lessons de-
signed to teach students how to make good
choices/decisions and how to avoid negative
influences, inclusive of drugs and other
harmful substances, peer pressure, and vio-
lence. Officer McDonald will conduct a par-
ent meeting at 5:30 P. M. on Tuesday, Au-
gust 31 in Mrs. Grant’s classroom. The pur-
pose of this meeting is to introduce the cur-
