TCM SA is fully committed to:
Assessing all identified riskst o its ships,
personnel and the environment and establishing
appropriate safeguards, aiming for incident-free
operations,
Providing and maintaining a healthy ans safe
work environment for its employees
Establishing measurable health, safety objctives
and targets to ensure continual improvement in
health and safety performance to reduce work
related injury and illness
Providing transportation services of materials &
products in a safe and efficient manner both at a
reasonable cost, as well as in accordance with
national & international laws, rules &
regulations;
Consistently satisfying customers requirements
by building in highest regard the health & safety
of tis crew and the protection of the
environment;
Maintaining ships and equipment in an
appropriate condition with the aim of ensuring
their fitness for the intended service;
Providing appropriate training to all shore-based
and shipboard personnel and ensuring their
highest qualifications.
Companys performance against its customers
expectations and established health, safety and quality
objectives shall be continually reviewed and actions shall
be taken towards continual improvement of both the
quality of the services provided and the effectiveness of
the HQSEES.
The policy of TCM SA promotes health & safety on board
vessels in order to protect the lives and wellbeing of all
personnel and maintain the integrity of the vessel and its
cargo by providing all personnel with information,
equipment and necessary training, enabling them to carry
out their work safely and efficiently.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION & ENERGY EFFICIENCY
TCM SA and its employees are committed and dedicated
to the protection of the environment, prevention of
pollution and energy efficiency improvement. In line with
this strong commitment, TCM SA has established and
implemented an Environmental and Energy Management
System throughout the organization. The Company, which
has historically employed and demonstrated sound
environmental and energy practices, has evaluated its
activities and has identified and assessed these aspects
which have or can have a significant impact on the envt
and affect energy efficiency. Furthermore, the Company
has established procedures to manage and monitor those
aspects in accordance with IS 140001 and ISO 50001.
TCM SA through the implementation of the Environment &
Energy Management System is committed to:
Monitoring and Complying with all applicable
environmental and energy efficiency legislation,
regulation and other requirements (as applicable
and/or deemed necessary by the Company);
Preventing the pollution of the envt and
providing a safe working envt
Establishing safeguards against all identified
environmental risks
Zero spills
Minimizing if/when possible, the wastes,
residues and emissions which are produced by
its operation and to always managing them in
the most environmentally effective way
Providing the framework for setting and
reviewing environmental and energy objectives
and targets
Providing appropriate training to all personnel
whose work may create a significant impact
upon the envt and on energy efficiency
Continuously cooperating with its suppliers and
contractors aiming to their environmental
performance improvement
Supporting the purchase of energy-efficient
products and servoces and the design for energy
performance improvement
The continual improvement of the overall
environment and energy performance.
