Meet Ms. Buchmann:

Education: Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education
Major: Early Childhood Development and Learning
Minor: Language Arts

I am excited begin teaching in first grade this year at St. Brigid Catholic School. I
attended Catholic School from Preschool to 9th grade. I finished my high school experience
at Bay City Western High School. I then studied Elementary Education at Central Michigan
University because being a teacher has always been my dream. In my parish I participate in
Faith Formation by teaching 5th graders about Gods Word. I am also an Extraordinary
Minister and Cantor at my parish during weekend masses. I have worked with children in
daycare, afterschool, and camp settings for 6 years. In the summer, I am the director of a
day summer camp. I enjoy teaching and working with children because of the wonderful
gift of imagination, their curiosity of the world, and their extraordinary stories. I am
excited to begin this school year with your students, and I cannot wait to share in their
learning experience.
