Engage (warm up, review prior knowledge): time: 6

minutes.
The student teacher will review the division problem that has the divisor 2 by call one student in the
carpet and let her to give her example, explain to the students how she solving the problem. Student
teacher will provide to the student who is explain materials such as: cubes, counters.

Then she will review the key words with the students.
Sharing
Equal
Division.
Core (introduce and practice new concepts & procedures): 30 minutes
The student teacher will represent to the students the other divisors from 3 up to 10, by giving
examples on the board. First she will solve the first example, 36 4 = 9 by calling 3 girls to the
carpet, and student teacher will start to share the 36 pencils equally, and remember the
students that the amount should be the same for everyone. Then she will call one or two girls
to solve other example before move to the activities.
For example: 243= and 305=.

Emerging:
They will work with the student teacher, and work in pairs; they will have a plastic box that has
different division problems that include the divisors 2 and 3. They will solve the division problem using
squares and plastic boxes which will represent the divisor. For example, 20 2 =, they will put two
plastic boxes and then sharing the 20 squares equally into the two boxes. then they will write it in their
math journal.
Instruction card:
A. Choice a division problem card from the plastic box.
B. Solve the division problem using plastic boxes and squares.
C. Write the division problem in your math journal.
D. Return the division problem card in the plastic box.

Developing:
They will work in pairs; student teacher will give them the puzzle division game. In the worksheet
there are different division problems that include different divisors (from 2 up to 5). They will have the
original picture of the puzzle, and they will have the pieces of the puzzle. They need to solve the
division problem and represent their work by counters or drawing before they glue it in the correct
place in the empty template of the puzzle.
Instruction card:
A. Solve the division problem before you glue it.
B. Use counters or drawing to represent your work.
C. Write the division problems in your math journal.
Each pairs will need:
1 original picture of the puzzle
1 empty template of the puzzle.
1 paper of the puzzle has been cut to pieces.

Mastered:
They will work in pairs; student teacher will give the bingo division game worksheet. In worksheet
there are different division problems that include different divisors (from 2 up to 10). The two students
will take a turn to play, she needs to choice a box from the bingo boxes and solve the division problem
in 2 minutes, and she need to represent her work by using cubes or drawing. Other student will set up
the timer for her. If she finishes before the time end she will color the box, if not she will not color the
box. Then it will be the other student turn. Until one of the student say the work Bingo! After that, they
will write the division problems that they had done in their math journal.
Instruction card:
A. Take a turn to play.
B. Solve one bingo box each time in 2 minutes, and represent your work with cubes or drawing.
C. While the one student plays, other student will set up the timer for 2 minutes.
D. Color the box if you finish solving the problem before the time end.
E. After one student saying Bingo!
F. You will write your division problems that you solve in your math journal.
Who will start first: student teacher will let the two students play (Rock, Paper, Scissors) one time to
decide who will play first.

1. Behavior management: student teacher will write the names of the students who misbehave
or out of the task. Then she will write their names on the Whiteboard and write one point or
two points.
2. Student teacher will count down from 3 to 1 to let the students start their activities.
3. Student teacher will count down from 5 to 1 to stop the activities.
4. Student teacher will sit with each group for 1minute and half.

Close (wrap up, discussion, brief review activity or assessment): 6 minutes

Student teacher will end the lesson by let the students to discussion on their groups of what they
learned today, and give example of their work.
She will ask:
what they like most?
What was useful for them?
