- Shape Song.
- Pick up a shape object and say: circle, square.
- Revise circle: hold up the circle flashcard and elicit or prompt circle. Have the learners draw

say circle while they draw.
- Say: Colour! Allow time for them to colour the three squares. Let them choose any colours.

Go round and talk to them while they work. More advanced learners may already be able
to name colours other than red and blue. You could teach new colour words to other
learners if appropriate.

- Invite learners to hold up their books to show the class where the squares are.
Assessment
- Give the learners some drawing paper. Ask them to draw a house using only squares and circles.
Let them work in pairs.
