KONTRIBUSI KUALIFIKASI AKADEMIK DAN PROFESIONALISME


TERHADAP PENGEMBANGAN KARIR GURU SMP
DI KABUPATEN BENGKALIS

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini didesain untuk menganalisis tiga variabel yang terdiri dari.
Kualifikasi Akademik (X1), Profesionalisme (X2), dan Pengembangan Karir (Y).
Sampel penelitian adalah 83 orang guru Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri di
Kecamatan Bengkalis dan Bantan dari total populasi sebanyak 474 guru. Sampel
dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Hasil statistik
deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata dari kualifikasi akademik guru
adalah 35,29, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel kualifikasi akademik guru
dikategorikan masih rendah, dan nilai rata-rata variabel profesionalisme guru
adalah 83,41 yang dikategorikan tinggi. Analisis korelasi menunjukkan variabel
kualifikasi akademik (X1) memiliki angka signifikansi 0,000 yang diuji dalam
prosedur signifikan dan mengakibatkan nilai alpha dari ( / 2 = 0.025.)
Kesimpulan yang dapat di ambil adalah ada hubungan yang signifikan antara
kualifikasi akademik dan pengembangan karir guru SMP di Kabupaten Bengkalis.
Hal serupa juga terjadi pada variabel Professionaisme Guru (X 2) terhadap
pengembangan karir guru. Nilai signifikan dari 0,000 dari analisis korelasi antara
profesionalisme guru dan pengembangan karir mereka itu diuji dengan = 5%
(0,05) terlihat pada nilai / 2, itu 0,025. Nilai koefisien 0,000 <0,025 (koefisien
lebih besar dari nilai ). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan
antara profesionalisme guru terhadap pengembangan karir mereka. Berdasarkan
tabel model summary analisa regresi berganda dari variabel X1 dan X2 terhadap
variabel (Y) memiliki angka yang signifikan = 0,000, / 2 = 0.025. Jika koefisien
dibandingkan dengan nilai , jelas 0,000 <0,025, sehingga, H0 ditolak, dan Ha
diterima. Maka dapat di simpulkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara
kualifikasi akademik dan profesionalisme guru terhadap pengembangan karir
mereka.

THE CONTRIBUTION OF ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION AND


PROFESSIONALISM TOWARD TEACHERS CAREER DEVELOPMENT OF
JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL (SMP) IN BENGKALIS REGENCY

ABSTRAK

This study was a correlational design which involved three variables. They were
Teachers Academic Qualification (X1), Professionalism (X2), and Career
Development (Y). There were 83 teachers of the State Junior High School in the
District of Bengkalis and Bantan-Regency of Bengkalis out of the total population
of 474 teachers of all Junior High Schools of these districts. The samples were
selected using simple random sampling technique.Result of descriptive statistics
showed that the mean score of variable teachers academic qualification was
35.29 which is categorized into low, and the mean score of variable teachers
professionalism was 83.41 which is categorized into high. The correlational
analysis showed variable academic qualification ( ) had Asymp significance of
0,000 which was tested in 2-tailed significant procedure and it resulted the alpha
value of (/2 = 0,025.) Infact, a conclusion can be drawn that there is a significant
correlation between academic qualification and teacher career development in
the regency of Bengkalis. The similar statistical procedure was also employed in
the analysis of variable of Teacher Professionaisme ( ) to teacher career
development. The significant value of 0,000 was the result of the correlational
analysis between teachers professionalism and their career development. It was
tested with = 5% (0,05). The test was also seen to the value of /2, it was
0,025. The coefficient value of 0,000 < 0,025 (the coefficient was larger than
value). It can be concluded that there is a significant correlation between
teachers professionalism and their career development in the regency of
Bengkalis. Based on the tabel of model summary, the multiple regression
analysis of variabel dan towards variabel (Y) had significant value = 0,000,
for which /2 = 0,025. If the coefficient is compared to the value of , evidently
0,000 < 0,025, so, was rejected, but was accepted. So, the decision can
be taken, There is a simultant correlation between variable academic qualification
and techers profesionalisme on teachers career development.
