How to carve a Jack-o-lantern

Why a jack-o-lantern?
October 31st is Halloween in Canada, the USA, the UK and many other western
countries. People celebrate it around the world!
Children dress up as ghosts, vampires, zombies, werewolves, skeletons, witches,
or superman: Some of them wear Anonymous masks. They go to peoples houses
and say trick or treat? In turn, people give them candy and cookies.
Houses are decorated for the occasion. A typical Halloween decoration,
consisting on a decorated pumpkin, is called jack-o-lantern.
The tradition of the jack-o-lantern comes from Ireland. The legend says that a
man called Stingy Jack was not allowed in Heaven nor in Hell, and was condemned
to wonder the Earth in the dark. He put an ember* inside a turnip* to make a
lantern. People started to call him Jack of the lantern. This was then shortened
to jack-o-lantern. When the tradition continued in America, people started using
pumpkins instead of* turnips.
