VENUE APPLICATION
NAME OF PLAY/PRODUCTION:
DIRECTOR(S):
PRODUCER(S):
SCHEDULING PREFERENCES
Please carefully check with your key production personnel in considering all of your scheduling
possibilities. Please rank venues in your order of preference. You may apply to one, two, or all
three. Please seriously consider how your vision can adapt to difference spaces and speak to
that in your directors statement.
Location:
___ Loeb Mainstage
___ Farkas Hall
___ Agassiz Theater
For details about the specifications of each space, see Considering the Right Venue section in
the Apply for a Space portion of the OFA website (ofa.fas.harvard.edu/theatre/apply).
SCHEDULING:
Theatrical productions in Farkas Hall and Agassiz Theater are typically required to have an entire
week dedicated to load in/tech prior to any scheduled performance. That is, a performance
schedule spanning one week requires a two-week residency and a performance schedule
spanning two weeks requires a three-week residency. The latter will be entertained only under
special circumstances.
In some circumstances, a one-week residency inclusive of load in, tech and performances will be
granted. This alternative is reserved for productions of a smaller scope with little to no set or
technical requirements.
Note these scheduling scenarios for Farkas Hall and Agassiz Theater:
ONE-WEEK RESIDENCY (for a smaller scope project)

WORKSHOPS

require a minimal core staff (ex. Author, Composer, Director, Music Director, Producer(s), Stage
Manager, Tech Liaison)
LOEB MAINSTAGE
Residencies on the Loeb Mainstage are set three-week blocks and cannot be separated.
Scheduling on the Loeb Mainstage closely resembles three-week residencies in OFA spaces.
Time Frame:
Please check the scenario (insert an "X") that applies to your project. If more than one scenario
is feasible, please number by order of preference:
___ One-week residency for small scope project
___ Two-week residency for a one-week performance schedule
___ Three-week residency for a two-week performance schedule
Below, please use numbers to indicate all possible residency weeks, in order of preference. Note
that shaded weeks are unavailable, as they have scheduled activity.
If you are interested in two or three venues, be sure your numbered priorities include
both space and scheduling factors, e.g. if your priority is to request Nov. 26 - Dec. 9,
mark 1 next to those weeks for your first choice venue and 2 next to that weeks for
your second choice venue.
For multi-week residency, use the same ranking number on all weeks. (For example, if
you are interested in Apr. 2- 8 and Apr. 9-15 as your first choice, place a 1 next to both
of those weeks.)
Place an X next to any production week for which the production should NOT to be
considered. If you are not interested in a certain venue, place an X next to all weeks for
that venue.
