The candidate must bring print-out of this e-Admit Card at the Examination Centre along with original ID Proof.
Candidate will not be allowed entry without this e-Admit Card and at least one original ID proof (not photocopy or
scanned copy) i.e. Voter Identity Card, Driving License, PAN Card, Passport or Aadhar Card. The identity of the
candidate will be matched from the ID proof. In addition, candidate must bring two Ball Point Pens (Blue/Black) for lling
required particulars in the examination. You will be provided with scratch paper for rough work. On completion of the
exam, candidates will have to return back all the scratch papers to the Room Invigilator(s).

The Computer Based On-line Exam will be held for 3 hours duration (one sitting) with 200 questions in two Papers.
Paper-I will consist of General Knowledge/Awareness, Numerical Ability, Reasoning & General English and Paper-II will
consist of Professional Knowledge (Discipline related) with 100 objective type questions with multiple choice answers in
each Paper. During 1st hour, 100 questions of Paper-I will be available to answer and after one hour all 200 questions will
be displayed to the candidates to answer/attempt. Each question will carry 1 mark and there is no penalty for wrong
answer. No marks will be awarded for un-attempted questions. The question paper will be bilingual i.e. English and
Hindi only. However, in case of any error/variation in Hindi, the English version of the question shall be valid.

The candidate is required to reach/report Examination Centre at. 6.30 AM on 26.03.2017 so that entry formalities i.e.
Biometric Registration by capturing thumb impression, Webcam Photograph, Physical Frisking, Photo-matching with
ID Proof etc. can be done smoothly. For Bio-metric registration of the candidate, it is advised not to apply any external
materials on their hands/foot like mehandi, ink etc. No late coming is allowed under any circumstances and the
main gate of Examination Centre will be closed before half an hour from the commencement of the
examination i.e. 07:30 AM.

Candidates are not allowed to bring any electronic gadgets such as Cell phone, Bluetooth, Electronic diaries or any
other electronic device with memory or Listening devices and recording or photographic devices, wrist watches, wrist
watch phones, pagers, pen scanners or multimedia devices or any other communication devices even in switch Off
mode including hand bags, ornaments, documents/papers inside the examination room/hall. CIL will not make any
provision to keep them in safe custody and candidates themselves are responsible for safety of their belongings. Any
candidate who is found with the banned items, copying, receiving, giving assistance or using any unfair means during
the exam will be disqualied and CIL will not be responsible for the cancellation of candidature at any stage of
recruitment process.

Please retain this e-Admit Card for future records and to be produced at time/stage of checking of documents after
qualifying in the Computer Based exam. In case your scanned Photo is not clear on the e-Admit card, please bring two
passport size photographs (same as uploaded in online application) at the time of Examination and handover to the
Room Invigilator for further action.

The Candidates appearing in the Online examination should, in their own interest, check their eligibility criteria in all
respects so as to avoid disappointment at any later stage. Your candidature for the online exam is "Purely
Provisional" which will be subject to detailed scrutiny of your fullling the eligibility conditions as per the recruitment
norms of CIL.

If the details printed on the e-admit card, are different/varies from the details provided by the candidates in the online
application, such candidates are advised to personally report, one day before the conduct of examination at the
'Facilitation Centre' from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm with 2 passport size photographs along with documentary
evidence/proof so that necessary corrections are made and fresh admit card is issued accordingly. The address of the
'Facilitation Centre' will be made available at CIL website http://www.coalindia.in. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates
for appearing in the Online examination.

communication/channel will not be entertained under any circumstances. Non-receipt of objections within stipulated

Before occupying your designated seat in the Computer Lab, candidates to under-go for Biometric
Registration/Webcam Photograph. . Without Bio-metric/Photo, System will not allow to Login for examination.

This is to inform that ID and Password for the online examination will be provided to the candidate 10 minutes before
commencement of the examination at their respective seat.

The clock will be set at the server. The countdown timer in the top right corner of screen will display the remaining time
available for you to complete the examination. When the timer reaches zero, the examination will end by itself.
