Primary Research: Proposed Questionnaire
In order to get a firsthand perspective of the structure and employee perception, we
have planned to visit the Big Bazaar outlet in Hazratganj, Lucknow. With a 15
question survey, we plan to interview ~20 associates at the outlet. The survey will be
taken by our group members personally.
The following questions have been created using the questionnaire measures for
employee motivation and morale study:

Organizational Structure
The following is a basic chart defining the structure at a local store level:

Each local store is led by a Store Manager who can have multiple Assistant Store
Managers reporting to him.
At the next level, a series of managers working in tandem. There are department
managers such as Fashion, Food, Electronics etc. Then there is a HR, Sales, and
other support teams such as Marketing, Logistics, Maintenance, Security etc.
The two major teams, Sales and Department teams are further divided into several
levels.
