PROFESSIONAL SEMESTER THREE: Final Report
University Consultant: Josh Markle

Intern Teacher: Michael Krokosh

University Consultant Comments:

It is with pleasure that I write a final report of Michael Krokoshs successful Professional Semester III internship at G.S. Lakie
Middle School.

In his practice, Mr. Krokosh demonstrated all of the qualities of an effective teacher and learner. His planning was organized,
effective, and translated curriculum into meaningful learning opportunities for students. He used summative and formative
assessment practices to further student learning. His classroom management was rooted in a mutual respect and trust. In
short, he is clearly a competent professional.

Mr. Krokoshs professional learning goal for his internship speaks well to his experience at G.S. Lakie, the way he conducts
himself as an educator, and his teaching philosophy. In his work as a Career and Technology Foundations (CTF) teacher, Mr.
Krokosh set out to develop and sustain meaningful relationships in his learning community. In working toward this goal, he
collaborated effectively with his students, their parents, and his colleagues to help build a culture in which students felt
supported and heard.

In my observations of his teaching, Mr. Krokosh demonstrated not only his competency but his passion for the subject matter,
and this was complemented by his commitment to sound pedagogy. Mr. Krokosh also sought out leadership opportunities at
both the school and district levels. His Professional Inquiry Project, for example, compared collaborative learning software and
its implementation in the classroom. Through his research, he leaves behind tangible results and implications for using
collaborative software in the classroom, and it is characteristic of Mr. Krokoshs practice that he has volunteered to present
this research to his peers at a University of Lethbridge symposium.

Mr. Krokosh is clearly a competent and dedicated professional and it was a pleasure to work alongside him in his internship.

I have read the complete Final Report and certify that the assigned grade is:
