Family Winter Literacy Night

1. In one class two teachers 17 parents. For two classes/34 parents and four
teachers in total are what were going to plan for.
We will have a 20 min power point for the parents. Well cover the basics of
reading in growing childrens life in the power point. We hope parents will
benefit by absorbing the information on childhood literacy; try to
incorporate the reading log into their children life.
2. A trick that we can expect the maximum attendance from parents. We will
send a text massages to the parents, send home flyers for the event. We
teachers will try NOT to make this Family Winter Literacy Night: NOT long
in time and NOT loaded with useless information.
3. The agenda for Family Winter Literacy Night:

6:30-6:45 Introduction of teachers & staff

6:45-7:00 We will be providing light refreshments.
7:00-7:20 Power point of importance of literacy in
children at school in home.( Pass out
reading logs)
7:20-7:35 Raffle
7:35-7:45 Questions & answers

4. There will be light refreshments provided.

3 -12 packs of soda(Coke , Sprite) $ 9.00
Raffle gifts 5 for $25.00
