MEMORIAL
INTRODUCTION
malaysia achieved independence on 31st of
AUGUST AFTER ALL THE SACRIFICES THAT HAVE
BEEN PUT FROM ALL RACES TO FORM A UNITE
CIVILIAN. THIS MEMORIAL WAS DESIGNED FOR
PUBLIC USE TO MEMORIZED ALL THE SACRIFICES
THAT HAVE BEEN SHOWED BY ALL RACES
DESIGN CONCEPT
this memorial was designed in memories
of the old people who held their hands
together to achieve the independence.
besides that, this design also showed the
journey of our country from standing
proud to the lowest state and slowly
reforming back together to achieve what
the old people did before
SITE PLAN
LOCATION: dataran putrajaya, malaysia
APPROACH
CIRCULAR FORM
to show the journey of malaysians trying to
be like how they used to be. this portrays the
unity of malaysians
WEAVING FACADE
it is an attraction to the locals it represents the image of malaysia as
and this is so that they can look weaving is a part of their culture. it also
at the memorial and use it to creates a sense of unity of our people
refelct on themselves as
malaysians
SEMI-CIRCLE APPROACH
to show that it may look like it's not actually
solid. it shows how malaysians are easily
attracted to something that does not last
long

depicts how malaysians were breaking apart

although we are going down, people are
actually determined to keep going on

the staircases are made
of raft concrete..
