Introduction

Having a group research activity in Food Testing Laboratory is a good way to us who just assign
to spend our whole day time there to be familiar of the equipment that there are using in FTL especially
to the students who are having their Laboratory. These research helps us students to know those
advance equipment that there are using when they are experimenting or testing some foods.

FTL equipment/apparatuses is different to traditional techniques that we are using when we


were having a laboratory in class because the equipment that were using in traditional was not just easy
to do not that hard but in FTL the equipment there was more advance and high tech. than what we are
using in traditional.

This activity is important because if you will be assigning in experimenting a product and youll
assign to test it in FTL, you will be familiar on what you were going to do.

Objective

To familiarize the equipment that usually were using in class.


To know how different traditional techniques in state-of-art facilities.
To learn how were gonna be using those equipment.
To understand how FTL are using the apparatuses there.
To know how youll be getting the # of microbes by using micro snap.

Importance of Activities Performed

The importance of this activity that weve done inside the FTL was to know or to be familiarize
of the apparatuses. Theres a lot of important thing that Ive learn in FTL. Those important things were
on how you will be responsible on the things that you should do inside the FTL especially in isolation
room. The apparatuses there were not like what the other apparatuses that were using in class.

Personal Development

Ive develop on how hard pipette tip will be putting in the pipettor. In FTL the laboratory
apparatuses there was really different on what we are using in class/in our laboratory. Ive learn how
to use the pH meter and how to get the acidy of the product or the sample product, how
stomacher work and Ive learn that in microbiology if you will get a sample you need to get a
sample aseptically. In food testing laboratory there was a lot of advance equipment that we can
use in conducting our laboratory. I did learn a lot on how we can conduct physico-chemical and
microbial analysis in pineapple juice queende. Ive learned how to use micro snap and how to
use it on swabbing and how will get the load of microorganisms by putting micro snap inside
the hygiena.

Conclusion

I there for conclude that this activity that our professor given to us gives us an advance lesson
on how we will be using those apparatuses there and how we will know their importance.

Recommendation

If theres a conducting or a microbial analysis in FTL, I recommend allow us to watch or to sight


on what they were doing or on what they will be conducting a microbial analysis and on how they will be
using other equipment/apparatuses that we didnt use when we were having this activity.
