Have something for the child to do in the car that won`t make him nauseous. Don`t let him read while
traveling.
Overeating often triggers motion sickness. Avoid heavy, spicy and fat-rich foods during the trip.
Stay away from strong food smells.
Avoid smoking in the car when your child is with you.
Give him dry crackers.
Try to choose a seat where the child will experience the least motion. In a car ask him to look at the distant
scenery. On a boat, go up with the child on the deck and watch the motion of the horizon. In an airplane, sit
over the wings, by the window and look outside.
Homoeopathy does not treat the many - it treats the one. This means that for any Chronic problem a fairly detailed
description of the problem needs to be taken. This allows the problem to be genuinely cured rather than just
'managed'. The aim of homoeopathy is always to cure your problem not allow you to live with it. Having to live
with a problem is a failure in the eyes of a homoeopath.
A- The vomit is sometimes very little like the quantity of a spit or whitish yellow and with food particles or liquid
last drank before the travel.
Are there any other symptoms that occur with the vomiting and nausea?
Nope the same as discussed above, but one thing to add would be I am not comfortable on the seats since I am 6'1
tall and got large legs so have to keep moving to accomodate which makes me uncomfortable.
Describe the exact mood that comes on with this problem - not a few words but describe it in detail?
A- I develop a strange vibrating sensation in the brain and vomiting sensation in the mind and the co passenger
with me if tries to talk with me get terribly irritated since the condition inside is inexplicable and the mood is very
irritable, I come to normal terms only when I reach my destination and take some rest on a nearby bench in open
air or by sitting or squatting on road to throw up if I feel like, the whole mood is spoilt.
Do any of these symptoms occur in any other situation?
No, it happens only during travel or sometimes when I am in some claustrophobic situation.
The best way to prevent motion sickness is to take Cocculus half an hour before the journey, and take either
cocculus, tabacum or petroleum during the journey depending on the symptoms.
Tabacum relieves those people who feel better if they sit in the car by closing their eyes. For these people, sitting
at a car window and watching the scenery as the car goes along produces a severe nausea.
Petroleum helps those who feel the sickness more in their stomach.
If there is nausea with faintness and occasional vomiting cocculus is the remedy. If the vomiting occurs whenever
there is a bumpy ride, tabacum is the remedy. It has the vomiting on least motion.
Petroleum has the least vomiting among the three, and it has marked reeling sensation.
