February 2017 - August 2017 | Nowhereville, State
• Utilized C-Mode Scanning Acoustic Microscopy (C-SAM) to perform nondestructive testing and analysis on
microelectronics and other materials.
• Prioritized and managed several projects simultaneously and ensured on-time delivery of data and reports in compliance
with ISO 17025 laboratory standards.
• Developed applications for new part types and worked alongside customers in ongoing projects and supplied critical data to
improve their production procedure.
• Used problem solving skills on a daily basis to design and build fixtures and to refine scanning techniques for each part
submitted.
PROJECTS
UNDERGRADUATE
DERAILMENT OF A 1890 BALDWIN BUILT 2-8-0 LOCOMOTIVE ENGINE | ANALYTICAL MECHANICS
• Used Matlab and principles of analytical mechanics to mathematically model the motion of a 1905 train wreck at Sawmill
Curve on the Alpine Tunnel Trail near Hancock, CO. A written report according to American Journal of Physics (AJP)
standards, as well as an oral presentation of the findings, was required for project completion.
LED WINDOW | ANALOG ELECTRONICS
• Collaborated with a fellow student to design and build an artificial LED window controlled by a photodiode to demonstrate
principles of analog electronics learned in the course. An oral presentation and demonstration of the project was required.
ANALYSIS OF PLANCK’S CONSTANT USING LEDS | MODERN SCIENCE SKILLS LABORATORY
• Determined the value of Planck’s Constant in the lab using methods of data analysis on Matlab. A written lab report in
compliance with AJP standards and completed using LATEXwas required.
