1 Purpose

Mentoring aftersales service staff and related personnel to upgrade Y321

DTV phone by TF card, master the upgrade process.

2 Scope

The instructor is apply to Y321 DTV, just for aftersales service and related
personnel.

4 Software upgrading

4.1cope file "update.zip"

Copy the update.zip file to SD card upgrade requires (residual capacity of the lowest 1G)
under the root directory, the file must be the official website to download, if not please
Huawei website to download the latest Y320U firmware version of the file (download the
file to ensure the upgrade package name must be update.zip, if not please manually
modify) as shown below:

4.2. Power up mode to updating---backup updating

Select Settings – Storage - Software upgrade - SD card upgrade, the phone
will show the following screen:

The upgrade process will take about two minutes, please don't do anything, 30S will
restart automatically after the upgrade.

Note: when the upgrade is completed, please enter setup to view the version number.

4.3 Power off mode with keys to upgrading---backup

updating

1. Insert SD card to phone in power off mode, long press Power key and
volume up key, By pressing the volume to select "Recovery mode", press the volume
down button to confirm

2. Select 'apply update from sdcard' via volume key, press 'Home' key to enter
TF card list screen （If the upgrade package on the mobile phone memory Cary,
choose “apply update from sdcard2”

3. By the Home key to enter the SD card upgrade menu.

4.Select 'update.zip' via volume key, then press 'Home' key, phone will
upgrading.

5. fter upgrading, it will prompt 'Install from sdcard complete', then auto
reboot

Notes: After upgrading, access to settings to view software version.

5 Attentions

1. During the upgrading, please do not plug out battery and T card. (Please
make sure the battery power is enough)

2. The upgrade method is not supports in difference customized software, not

supports upgrading down-level version, not supports separated version
upgrading.
