This document is part A of health insurance.

This section contains information about heal insurance configuration which is based on SAP benefits
management module.
Customer could copy and make the changes to adapt their own needs.
The content of the document is subjected to be changed depends on needs.

3. Solution Overview
Model health insurance configuration is based on following scenarios:
Company A has two 2 health plans (2 policies) which apply to different job grade and have different
deduction frequency.
Class ER Cost (QAR) Job Grade Policy Dependent coverage Frequency
Class 5 500 Grade 1~2 Policy 1(Plan MED1) Max. of 3 dependents (Kids up to 18 years are only covered) Monthly
Class 4 600 Grade 3~4 Policy 1(Plan MED1) Max. of 3 dependents (Kids up to 18 years are only covered) Monthly
Class 3 700 Grade 5~6 Policy 1(Plan MED1) Max. of 3 dependents (Kids up to 18 years are only covered) Monthly
Class B 2400 Grade 7~8 Policy 2(Plan MED2) All dependents Quarterly
Class A 2700 Grade 9~10 Policy 2(Plan MED2) All dependents Quarterly

3.2.1 Benefits Basic Settings


In this step, you define benefit areas and specify the currency for corresponding benefit areas.
You also maintain default benefit area in feature which will be used in master data.

You enter the providers of the benefit plans you offer.


You set the relevant benefit area for your Customizing activities.

3.2.2 Define Plan Attribute


In this step, you enter the benefit plan types that you require for the plan categories predefined in the
system.
You also define the plan status that you require for benefits administration. You later assign these
statuses as to your plans in their general data.

3.2.3 Define Employee Groupings


In this step, you define cost groupings and determine how employees are allocated to these groupings.
You only need to do this if you want to differentiate between costs for employees using additional
criteria to those available in the cost variant (age, salary, seniority).
Here we would like to use job grade as criteria.
