Introduction:
The course is designed for students to acquire and appreciate the context and utility of HRM practices.
In this age of hyper-competition and constant change, it is the people in an organization that provide a
competitive edge. The fundamental assumption is that all managers are accountable to their
organizations in terms of the impact of their human resource management activities. This course will
provide an overview of the HRM processes and the emerging trends in this function.

Objectives:
 To understand the concepts, techniques and issues involved in managing human resource
 To analyze various human resource functions
 To provide an insight into the various challenges faced by HR professionals in the meeting
business
