Introduction
The most effective method to develop the complete skills of the students is through
hands on training or the on-the-job training. This process exposes the students to the
different fields of learning. Moreover, it allows the students to become familiar and made
know actual operation of the business and state-of-the-art of the facilities, equipment and
technology used.
The goal of the OJT program is to place participants in occupations that will enhance their
prospects for long term employment and will ultimately permit them to become self-sufficient. OJT
involves the acquisition to specific skills and employment competencies, through exposure in the
actual work setting to the process, works tasks, tools and method of specific job or group of jobs.
We trainees can bring fresh ideas into the organization. Given the opportunity to
converse our minds freely and without fear, we may be able to contribute significantly in
brainstorming sessions or research and eventually help improve the organizations
productivity. While training the interns, employers are in fact also teach their employees
to guide the trainees by stretching their patience, develop teaching skills and make them
more sensitive to the needs and mind set of the younger generations.
Insights Gained
This OJT Program was really memorable to me because I was able to learn new
things that helped me a lot in the field that I have chosen. I had realized that aside from
knowledge, I should also possess the skills and proper etiquette in the workplace.
Knowledge
I learned a lot of things in all my tasks in City School Division Office of Tayabas
City, especially to Sir. Edwin Rodriguez and Mrs. Marife Lagar, they always helped me
and trained me to gain more knowledge. They always made sure that they guide me in the
right track.
Skills
Attitude
In my OJT at the City School Division Office in Tayabas City, I contribute a lot of my
personality, especially the performance of my assigned tasks.
Problems Encountered
Based on my On-The Job training experience, the problem I encountered was more on error
and trouble shooting.
