For analysis of algorithms, THE book is Concrete Mathematics: A Foundation for Computer
Science (2nd Edition): Ronald L. Graham, Donald E. Knuth, Oren Patashnik: 0785342558029:
Amazon.com: Books
Some aspects of Discrete mathematics are covered here, but you might want to pick a book
which is particularly rigorous in this area. Something like
Discrete Mathematics and Its Applications: Kenneth Rosen: 9780073383095: Amazon.com:
Books could be handy.  I have found this book to be lucid in explanation.

If you are building the foundations why not build it strong. Therefore, its always nice to add
skills of Numerical analysis , Differential equations, Linear algebra, Statistics  & Probability.
It really come handy across different topics in computer science. There are a hell lot of
discussion on quora and elsewhere for what to read for each of the above mentioned
topics. And therefore, instead of going through those trails, I would list what books I
personally found more intuitive and useful than others.

For numerical analysis you might want to go through Advanced Engineering Mathematics:
Erwin Kreyszig: 9780471333289: Amazon.com: Books . This book covers some aspects of
Differential equations as well. Otherwise, personally  I find Partial Differential Equations for
Scientists and Engineers (Dover Books on Mathematics): Stanley J. Farlow: 9780486676203:
Amazon.com: Books   useful.

For linear algebra, there are threads on Quora and elsewhere which would give you approach
on being proficient at different levels of expertise. I have found Linear Algebra and Its
Applications, 4th Edition: Gilbert Strang: 9780030105678: Amazon.com: Books
particularly useful but might not be the right book for people looking for depth. Its more of a
practical book.

For statistics and probability, there are threads on Quora and elsewhere which would give
you approach on being proficient at different levels of expertise. I personally feel probability
concepts should be gathered first although both probability and statistics concepts should be
gathered separately. I have personally found , Amazon.com: Introduction to Probability
Models, Tenth Edition (9780123756862): Sheldon M. Ross: Books very helpful.  For
statistics, I dont think I have read any particular book and have rathered grasped concepts
from a varied resources on internet. But, nevertheless, All of Statistics: A Concise Course in
Statistical Inference (Springer Texts in Statistics): Larry Wasserman: 9780387402727:
Amazon.com: Books is a good comprehensive and concise book on statistics.

And most importantly its not about reading these books but rather, solving the exercises.

Its quite befitting what John von Neumann had aptly once said:
"Young man, in mathematics you don't understand things. You just get used to them."
