In order to advance to digital telco company, Telkom is transforming its organization from four segments TIMES
(Telecommunication, Information, Media, Edutainment and Services) based on digital business adjacent portfolio
to Customer Facing Unit and Functional Unit model, or CFU and FU. The transformation will make Telkom’s
organization more lean and agile in adapting to changes in the fast-changing telecommunications industry. The
new organization is also expected to increase its efficiency and effectiveness to create a quality customers
experience.

Telkom’s business activities have grown and changed along with the development of technology, information and
digital, but still within the corridor of telecommunication and information industries. This is evident from the
company’s business lines that are constantly developing in addition to the existing legacy business. Currently,
Telkom manages six products portfolio which serve four customer segments, namely corporate, residential,
individual and various other customer segments and have 9 product portfolio, one of the product portfolio is Big
Data, in order to expand big data teams (especially for data scientist) and build own data analytics capabilities, we
would like find talented candidates with positions as follows :

1. Junior Data Scientist - Big Data (JDS) : 10 Persons

2. Data Scientist - Big Data (DS) : 10 Persons
3. Senior Data Scientist - Big Data (SDS) : 10 Persons

Data Scientist Job Description:

Your client’s eyes probably glaze over when you discuss in detail logistic regression, cluster analysis, neural nets

Data Scientist Role's :

As a Data Science professional, the individual will help drive sales and solutioning of data science/analytics
engagements, manage and/or supervise project delivery, mentor teams, build new capabilities, support/contribute
to thought leadership and building new skills. The candidate should be able to seamlessly work with Client teams
in positioning data science/analytical capabilities and with help of them drive an deliver data science/analytics
engagement.

The successful candidate should have strong consultative, business and communication skills in addition to
quantitative ability. As well as be exposed to the challenges of using statistics in a business setting, such as
incomplete data, biased data, large data sets, low signal-to-noise ratios, high variance and multiple objective
functions. Requires being creative and resourceful and will utilize traditional statistical methodologies as well as
newer techniques from computational statistics and data mining and big data capabilities.

Basic Qualifications of YOUR EXPERIENCE:

 Strong background in statistical concepts and calculations
 Experience in handling real data (min 5 years for senior data scientist and min 3 years for data scientist)
 Innovative and strong analytical and algorithmic problem solvers
 Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, Perl, Bash) for orchestration and data manipulation
and statistical computing tools like R, SAS, and SPSS
 Data engineering experience, including SQL and experience manipulating structured and unstructured data
sources for analysis.
 have good communications skill and language both written and oral in english.
 Preferable have experience with MapReduce/Hadoop and related technologies (e.g., Pig, Hive, Cascading).
 Preferable have familiarity with Amazon Web Services and Elastic MapReduce a plus.
 Preferable have familiarity with Hadoop based commercial packages (e.g. Cloudera, Hortonworks)
 Preferable have experience in text mining/NLP
