Description of Unit:

The ward is multidiscipline ward that provide nursing care and management for patients
presenting for medical and nephrology problem. Besides that, the ward also provide care and
treatment for another medical cases such as acute gastroenteritis, skin problem, ear nose and
throat (ENT) problem and also communicable disease.

Duties & Responsibilities:

 Assessment of patients during admission.

 Monitoring of vital signs.
 Monitoring of input and output chart.
 Performing of ECG when required.
 Care of chest drain.
 Blood transfusion.
 Specimen collection.
 Serve for medication (oral and intravenous)
 Documentation and writing patient’s report.
 Administration of oxygen therapy.
 Interpretation of lab result.
 Sent patient to Haemodialysis Unit (HDU)
 Transfer patient to another ward or unit.
 Passed over report after shift done.
