SUMMARY, CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter presents the summary, findings, so conclusions drawn from findings

and the corresponding recommendations.

Summary

The overriding purpose of this system is to automate the inventory

management of Marine Engineering, Palompon Institute of Technology Marine

Department. The automation of this system is to easier retrieval of information, to

safeguard and to provide an accurate inventory of the equipment and tools.

Specifically this study sought to answer the following questions:

1. What are the problems encountered by the respondents with regards to the

Inventory Management?

2. How to assess the developed Automated Inventory Management System based on

the findings of the study in terms of:

2.1 Design;

2.2 Reliability; and

2.3 Usefulness

The researchers developed a system project using software application (such as

XAMPP) installed in the server and using LAN Network to allowed the LIC access to the

server.

Qualitative design was used in this study where identified problems and proposed

Automated Inventory Management System using software application. SDLC was used.
In this study there were two (2) respondents, namely, two (3) Laboratory in Charge of

the Marine Engineering Department, one (1) administrator or the Chairman of the Marine

Engineering Department.

The researchers conducted the research study in the Palompon Institute of

Technology in Marine Engineering Department in order to assess the gathered data for this

research study.

The data instrument used by the researchers in the research study are through

conducting an interview, audio record, survey questioners and gathering source to get the

information needed.

Findings

Based on the gathered data, the following are hereby summarized:

Conclusions

Based on the findings of the study, the following conclusions were drawn.

Recommendations

Based on the conclusions, the following recommendations were drawn:
