 What was the site used for before proposed development (Type of activities, users, etc.)
 Were there any developments in the past
 What impact did the developments have on the surroundings?

7. GEOLOGY:

 Underlying Geology: Soil Type, Soil Depth, Is the top soil fertile?
 Fault Lines: Does the site fall within a seismic zone?

8. TOPOGRAPHY:
 Slope analysis (to understand the steep and gradual slopes on the site)
 Barriers –Visual and Physical

9. WATER:

 Water Table: Elevation, What effects the water table in the area?
 Surface drainage Pattern – Run-off direction, water-shed
 Municipal water supply: Location and origin of supply line
 WATER BODIES – Location, Purity, if polluted, then determine the source of pollution,
Effect of the water body on the surroundings (with respect to climate, flora and fauna),
Should it be retained? With or without alterations?
