Ordering objects
In addition to aligning objects, PowerPoint gives you the ability to arrange
objects in a specific order. The ordering is important when two or more
objects overlap because it will determine which objects are in the front or the
back.
When objects are inserted into a slide, they are placed on levels according to
the order in which they were inserted into the slide. In the image below, the
picture is on the top level, but we can change the level to put it behind the
other objects.
1. Select an object.
2. From the Format tab, click the Bring Forward or Send Backward drop-
down box.
10
CHANGE THE BACKGROUND
1. Right-click the slide that you want to add a background picture and then
click Format Background > Picture or Texture Fill.
11
ANIMATIONS
You can apply animation effects (motion) to text, pictures, shapes, SmartArt
graphics, and more, so they play in your slide show.

TRANSITIONS
Remove a transition
1. Click the slide that you want to have no transition. Then on the
Transitions tab, in the Transitions gallery, click None.
2. To remove transitions from all slides, select all the slides in your
presentation (Ctrl+A) in the Thumbnail pane, and then on
the Transitions tab, in the Transitions gallery, click None.

WHAT IS A SLIDE MASTER?
Note: The big first slide is the actual Slide Master and any
changes you make in the master slide affect all other slides. 16
However, any changes you make to a layout slide only changes
that slide.
What is a slide layout?
All the slides found on the Slide Master are the “Slides Layout”.
