Good morning Class! Good morning Ma’am!

.
B. Motivation
(the students respond)
Okay Class, are you all familiar
with the song of Justine Bieber
entitled Baby?
(the students sing)
I have here the lyrics and I
want all of you to sing.

(after singing)
Student1: there are words
Now, class can you tell me that are being underlined.
what have you observed in
the lyrics of the song?

(the students answer one by
(calls out student’s name to site one)
what words are being underlined)
Student4: Those words are
Can you tell me what these words called Pronouns, Ma’am.
are?

Very Good!

C. Presentation

And what do pronouns do? (students raise their hands)

Please read, ________. “Pronoun replaces a noun in
a sentence, Ma’am.”
Very good!

Replaces means it takes the

place of a noun in the
sentence to avoid redundancy
of Noun/s used in a sentence.
For example:
Cherry went to the store.
She bought tomatoes and
onions.

In this example, how many

sentences do we have? “Two.”
Yes, ___________.

Correct!
In the first sentence our “Cherry!” (all students)
subject is the noun ______.
And in the second sentence
our subject is _____ which is “She.”
a ______. “Pronoun.”

Very good class!

Also keep in mind that

pronouns should agree with
its antecedent in terms of
gender number and person.

Now class, take a look at this “Cherry shops with Reyna.

example on screen and read. Cherry likes shopping with
Reyna. Cherry and Reyna do
shopping together.”

What can you say about the (students raise their hands)
sentence?
“The names of Cherry and
Yes, _________. Reyna were repeated three
times.”

Very good observation!

“to make the sentences
Of course, that sounds better we can use of
repetitive because we keep Pronouns.”
saying Cherry and Reyna.
So, how can we make these
sentences better?

That’s right!
(______ answer on board.)
Who can do on board?
Yes, _________.

Very good! (clap 5 times)

Let’s give 5 claps to Ms./Mr.
______.
That’s more natural because
we’re using the pronouns
She, her, and they in place of
the nouns. And that type of
pronoun is called Personal
pronoun because they refer
to people.

Personal Pronoun came in “Subjective, Objective and

three types. Possessive type.”
Please read.

A subject pronoun is used in

a place of subject in a
sentence.
Subject is the doer of the
action in the sentence.
For example: I saw Rachelle
yesterday.

I is a subject pronoun
because I is the doer of the
action in the sentence.

Instead of using I, we can

also use the subject pronoun
We (We saw Rachelle
yesterday.)

Object Pronoun, read ______. “Object Pronoun is used as

an object in the sentence.”
For example: Mamie saw
them yesterday.
In this sentence, what “Them.”
pronoun is being used?

Correct!

And them was used as an

object pronoun.

How about Possessive (the students read)

Pronoun?

It means that you show

ownership.
For example:
This house is ours.
It means that this school
belongs to me and my family.
The same meaning when I
say “This is our school”.

D. Application
I have here an activity that
you are going to answer. All
you have to do is to use the
correct personal pronouns
needed. Watch the words in
brackets. For example: She
often reads books. (Lisa)
I will give you 2 minutes to
answer. You don’t need to
answer in a sheet of paper “Yes, Ma’am”
because I will just call names,
okay?

(After 2 minutes)
(the students whose name was
The teacher will call 10 called answer.)
students to answer on a
particular number.

E. Generalization “Yes, Ma’am.”

Based on your scores, it
shows that you’ve learned
something, am I correct?

Now, who can share to class

what they have learned on
today’s lesson?
“I have learned that the Pronouns
Yes,_______. are words that are used to replace
nouns in a sentence.”

“I have learned that we must see

Who else? to it that the antecedent and
pronoun should agree in gender,
number and person.”

“I have learned that Personal

You are my love, you are my heart
And we will never, ever, ever be apart
Are we an item? Girl, quit playing
We’re just friends, what are you saying?
Said "There’s another," and looked right in my eyes
My first love broke my heart for the first time, and I was like...

[Chorus: Justin Bieber]

Baby, baby, baby oh
Like baby, baby, baby no
Like baby, baby, baby no oh
Thought you’d always be mine, mine
Baby, baby, baby oh
Like baby, baby, baby no
Like baby, baby, baby no oh
Thought you’d always be mine, mine

[Verse 2: Justin Bieber]

Oh, for you I would have done whatever
And I just can’t believe we ain't together
And I wanna play it cool, but I'm losing you
I'll buy you anything, I'll buy you any ring
And I'm in pieces, baby, fix me
And just shake me 'til you wake me from this bad dream
I'm going down, down, down, down
And I just can’t believe my first love won’t be around, and I'm like...

[Chorus: Justin Bieber]

Baby, baby, baby oh
Like baby, baby, baby no
Like baby, baby, baby no oh
Thought you’d always be mine, mine
Baby, baby, baby oh
Like baby, baby, baby no
Like baby, baby, baby no oh
Thought you’d always be mine, mine

[Verse 3: Ludacris]
(Luda)
When I was 13, I had my first love
There was nobody that compared to my baby
And nobody came between us, no one could ever come above
She had me going crazy
Oh, I was starstruck
She woke me up daily, don’t need no Starbucks
She made my heart pound, and skip a beat when I see her in the street and
At school on the playground, but I really want to see her on the weekend
She knows she's got me dazing, cause she was so amazing
And now my heart is breaking, but I just keep on saying

[Chorus: Justin Bieber]

Baby, baby, baby oh
Like baby, baby, baby no
Like baby, baby, baby no oh
Thought you’d always be mine, mine
Baby, baby, baby oh
Like baby, baby, baby no
Like baby, baby, baby no oh
Thought you’d always be mine, mine
