I. Aims
 To introduce vocabulary related to clock times
 To express opinions in connection with likes and dislikes
 To help Ss make a contextualized use of expressions related to different times
 To introduce different words, phases,
 To practice the newly acquired vocabulary

II. Objectives: at the end of the lesson the Ss should be able


 To speak about clock times
 To respond positively and negatively to various suggestions
 To know certain typical English phrases in connection with various description

III. Anticipation of problems


 Ss may not know certain idioms or fixed phrases
 Ss may not understand certain words or phrases
 Ss may not have a rich vocabulary concerning the time

Activity 1-Checking the homework
Aim: to correct the students’ homework, by checking it
Activity Interaction Time
The teacher checks the students’ homework. The students one by one T-S 5
read the correct answers. The teacher corrects and explains when/if S-S min
necessary. S-T

Activity 2- Warming Up
Aim: to create a pleasant atmosphere for learning
Activity Interaction Time
The teacher together with the students plays a little game. It is called T-S 3
HANGMAN. They follow the teacher s instruction. S-S min

Activity 3- Writing the new vocabulary


Aim: to introduce vocabulary related to clock times
Activity Interaction Time
The teacher writes the unknown words on the blackboard. The T-S 7
students copy them. The teacher gives explanation about the time, S-S min
and the expressions. S-T

Activity 4—Discussion, pair work


Aim: to practice the clock times they make conversations
Activity Interaction Time
Students speak with each other. They ask each other about the time, T-S 5
They solve exercise 5b from page 49. Ss work in pairs and discuss. S-S min
Various pairs report their answers to the class. T-S

Activity 5- Speaking, Game


Aim: to practice the newly acquired vocabulary
Activity Interaction Time
The students play a game. Everybody has a paper made clock done T-S 20
home. When the teacher tells a time everybody wounds up her/his S-S min
clock. Then they show to the whole class and to the teacher. After T-S
this reinforcement in the front of the class is being drawn a clock.
Pupils in pairs to the teacher s instruction stand in the clock at the
heard time

Activity 6- Writing,
Aim: to reinforce the new vocabulary by matching
Activity Interaction Time
Students solve the exercise from the handouts. They have to match T-S 10
the two halves of the given text to get a full sentence. The teacher S-S min
checks pupils’ answers, but just orally. S-T

Activity 7- Homework
Aim: to practice the new vocabulary by doing exercises from the handouts.
Activity Interaction Time
The teacher explains the homework. The students make notes on the T-S 3
given tasks. S-T min
