SELECTION OF MANAGEMENT TRAINEES - THROUGH CAMPUS RECRUITMENT - PROJECT 17-18

ABOUT THE COMPANY:

Redington India is a public limited company listed in BSE and NSE, having total revenue of around 5.17 billion $.

We are the leading IT (hardware/software) / Non-IT (Life style, Consumer Durable, Mobile Phones products) - Marketing/
channel management) Distribution Company

We are an MNC having Pan India presence (around 45 branch offices across the country). We also have many 100% wholly
subsidiaries in various spaces like One stop SCM solution Management/ Exclusive apple product stores/ Value Added
Distribution of EMC products. We have been augmenting our human resources through campus recruitments as well for our
company as well as for our subsidiaries. The newly formed subsidiary ProConnect supply chain solutions is the exclusive Supply
chain arm for our Company which has proven versatility in the3/ 4 PL a niche segment.

CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY:

Minimum standard of education

The students should have successfully completed (including the projects/ viva and the result should have been declared) two
years full time MBA/PGDBM programme in management.

Basic Degree (Under Graduation):

There are two streams.

(1) Students with any degree (Arts/ Science/ Commerce/ Management)

(2) Students with Engineering degree with specialization in the following discipline

o Engineering Degree (Mechanical / Electronics/ Electricals/ Power/ Instrumentation/ Information Technology/


Computer Science/Computer Engineering/ Software/ Tele communication / Bio-Tech) OR

o BCA/ MCA/ MS(Computer Applications)/ B.Sc./ M.Sc. (Computer Science/ Information Technology)

Each stream will be considered for specified roles independently as per the requirement.

Marks in the academics:

Candidates must have scored 55% and above in all the examinations (10th, 12 th, Degree and PG/MBA). There should not be
any arrears in any papers/ .i.e. the students should have cleared all their academics within the normal three/ four/ two
years’ course duration in the respective examination.NO RELAXATION UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES WILL BE CONSIDERED

Other requirements:

 They have successfully cleared/ completed all theory papers of their MBA/PGDBM course, and only project work is
left out in the last semester (at the time of joining our company). We will provide the scope for them to complete
the project while they are pursuing their career with us.
 They must possess excellent communication skills and very good command over English language.

 They must also possess working - knowledge of Hindi (speaking a must)

 They must know driving - two wheeler and hold a valid driving license.
Since the role involves strenuous working, the candidate should possess good health. They should not have suffered/ be
suffering from any major illness or accidents in the past/ present, which might impair their performance.

PLACEMENT:

Placement will be in any of our locations across the country and may also in any of our Subsidiaries. The placements which may
also be in any of our subsidiaries will be at the sole discretion of the company and it will not be changed to suit the convenience
of the students under any circumstances.

It will not be possible for us to consider any requests for transfer (either for location/ SBU or for specific company within the
group, including parent company) after their joining the company, under any circumstances. They should also submit a written
stamped undertaking to serve the company for a period of two years. In case of default, they have to pay back to the company,
the cost of induction training programme and also towards the specified salary amount of the Trainee period. This amount at
present is Rs.3,60,000/- (Rupees Three lakhs sixty thousand only)

PACKAGE OFFERED:

Salary
Initial starting salary Rs 4/- lakhs CTC P/A divided into Fixed and Variable component @ 90/ 10-(Variable pay - 10%-linked to
attainment of pre decided targets and paid quarterly upon achievement only)

Other Perquisites: (will be paid over and above the CTC package)
Reimbursements like Mobile- wherever applicable & subject to limits
Conveyance - wherever applicable & subject to limits
Group Accident Policy
Group Health Insurance Scheme for an amount of Rs.1 lakh provided by the company. Additional coverage for self/ family is also
available, subject to conditions/ additional payment of premium to be borne by the employees.

THE BIFURCATION AND THE SALARY DETAILS WILL BE SPECIFICALLY EXPLAINED DURING THE PRESENTATION ON THE DAY OF
CAMPUS SELECTION

CAREER GROWTH:

After completion of the probation of 11 months, subject to the satisfactory performance, they would be confirmed in the
services of the company as Product Technical Specialist/Product Sales Specialist/ Area Sales Manager/Product Manager or any
other suitable position, as the case may be. Going forward they have ample growth opportunities which would depend entirely
on their performance and capability to grow.

Bond and other conditions:

Selected Management Trainees have to execute a bond for serving the company for 2 years and also surrender all the original
certificates

In support of the undertaking they must also submit a security cheque for Rs.326000/-(towards training/other cost/ salary and
other costs towards the bond money. This cheque will be en-cashed only in case they break the bond before the bond period.

As such the students are NOT required to deposit any money with the Bank as of now towards this bond money, which they are
required to do so if they decide to quit within a period of 2 years, when the cheque will be sent for collection. Candidates’
attention is drawn to the provisions of the Negotiable Instrument Act, under which the cheque issued by them if returned for
financial reasons, is a criminal offence.
Otherwise the cheque will be returned along with the original certificates to them after their successful completion of 2 years’
service in the company.

As agreed to by our preferred B Schools, the selected candidates shall submit an undertaking to the respective B School
Authorities to serve Redington for the agreed period of 2 years in addition to the one to be submitted to the company

The B-Schools must undertake to and also submit the final semester mark list and the final MBA/PGDBM degree certificate
directly to the company and not to the students.

Structure of the selection process-


 A PPT about our organisation will be shown by our Top Management to the students who have expressed their
willingness for placement with us. – Prescribed willingness form has to be submitted by the willing candidates before
the process.
 Then a group discussion (group of 6 to 8) will be held.
 The candidates who are short listed in the Group Discussion would be called for psychometric test / personal interview.
 Those who are successful will be considered for appointment as Management Trainees.
 Further round of telephonic/ personal interview may be held for some students who will be selected for technical
sales/ business profiles.
 The selection for these students will be advised only after the second round of the interview as above.
 We may also keep certain number of students in our wait list, which may be absorbed against future / drop out
vacancies. The position for the wait listed candidates would be advised only a week before the induction programme.
 The wait listed candidates will be subjected to one more round of telephonic/ personal interview before they are
subjected to Psychometric assessment.

The finally selected candidates would be considered for appointment as Management Trainees in our company on eleven
months’ probation.

Joining Dates:
 We have planned the intake of the Management Trainees in two batches:

 I batch:- June/July 2018


 II batch:- August 2018

 Please note that

o The MTs should have completed the MBA course in all respect and possess the completion certificate on the
date of joining
o The MTs will not be granted any leave during their probationary period under any circumstances including for
examination, since they are expected to be on board only with the provisional completion certificate of having
successfully completed the PG Management course and are eligible to receive the certificate in the
convocation.
o If any of the selected student does not take up the assignment as per the directives of the company / drops
out after selection, the respective B Schools will be de-listed and excluded for our subsequent year’s
selection process
