1. The Bank normally requires the promoters to offer security equal in value, to at least 100% of the Forced Sale Value of Immovable Property or
140% of the Forced Sale Value of movable assets. Adjustments will be made on rural based immovable property.

Guidelines for preparing a Business Plan (Additional guide would be provided on request - LAR)

A. ATTACHMENTS

1. Certified true copy of National Identity Card (Omang) for all Batswana applicant(s), all shareholders and directors. Certified true copies of
passports (for non citizens).
2. A copy of a residence permit (Non Citizens).
3. A copy of work permit(s) for all company employees who are not citizen or an alternative (i.e. Waiver).
4. A copy of the land title (Title Deed, Registered Lease, etc. to be offered as security and/or for properties to be developed).
5. Borehole Completion Certificate/Borehole Data Record and Water Right Certificate (for all projects where water requirements are from a
borehole).
6. Livestock brand certificate (for all agricultural projects and all projects where cattle are used as security for the loan).
7. Certificate of Incorporation or Registration documents for companies, trust, AMAs, partnerships and other legal entities.
8. Memorandum and Articles of Association where the applicant is a company, certificate of registration for Agricultural Management
Associations (AMA) and other registration documents as required by law.
9. A constitution, partnership agreement for partners, syndicates and trusts (trust deed) (In addition NDB may require a management plan).
10. Resolution by Shareholders/Board/Members to apply for the loan, if the loan is for a company, AMAor for more than one party.
11. Provide a valuation report for assets offered as security for the loan (immovable property, existing machinery, existing vehicles etc.).
12. Provide financial statements for the applicant, if already in operation. The bank reserves right to request for audited accounts, especially for
big projects or as required by law.
13. Provide Curriculum Vitae (Cvs) of all key management personnel.
14. Provide VAT number if company is registered or required to be registered under VAT.
15. Provide proof that the applicant has paid tax or complied with the tax rules and Registrar of Companies rules (i.e. proof that the company still
exists).
16. If company provide dividend policy document.
17. Provide the applicant’s bank statement.
18. Provide approved plans if the project is for property construction/development.
19. Provide personal balance sheet(s) of applicant(s), partners, shareholders and those guaranteeing the loan.
20. Provide relevant quotations, sales agreements, permits, franchise agreements, import/export licences, health permit and other permits as
required.
21. Provide copies of all necessary licences needed to operate the business (i.e. trading licence, manufacturing licence etc.).
22. Provide lease agreement(s) where appropriate (i.e. if the project is to rent premises, water source, lease out premises, etc.).
23. Where the applicant has other loans with other institutions, details of these loans should be provided (i.e. purpose of loan, creditor/institution,
loan period, rate of interest, monthly repayments, period to maturity of the loan/when the loan is expected to be fully repaid original amount,
current loan balance etc.).

B. COMPLETION OF FORMS
1. The loan application form is to be completed in full.
2. All relevant information to be supplied by the applicant.
3. Names of applicants, spouses, shareholders and chiefs shall be written in full.
4. Each applicant or member of a syndicate/AMA/partnership is required to complete an individual application form. In addition another form is
to be completed summing up all assets and liabilities of members as entered in the individual forms and shall also include the joint assets and
liabilities of the syndicate/AMA/partnership.
5. Where the applicant has provided a separate business plan, write, “refer to business plan” at the appropriate section of the application form.
No area in the form shall be left blank, otherwise write “none” or “not applicable” or “n/a” as appropriate.
6. All completed application forms are to be submitted to the lending department at the nearest NDB office.
