Introduction:

In recent times, the world has seen the introduction of a new technology, Smart Phones. These

are fabulous devices. The use of these devices have spread like wildfire. They are very small to

carry and handle around. Life would be meaningless without these devices. It is very significant

to students’ life to the extent that some even have two or three of these smart phones. The smart

phone is a modern day technology which makes easy to communicate. The features of these

smart phones make it possible to send text messages, take pictures, record videos and many

more. In as much as the devices have positive advantages, there are also disadvantages.

Purpose of Study:

I selected this topic ‘Use of Smart Phones in the Classroom: Effect on Students’ for my project

work because I find the topic very suitable and some of the challenges it brings between teachers

and students could be solved.
