Learning Outcomes At the end of this course, students should be able to

 Identify a differential equation by its type, order and linearity.
 Solve first-order differential equations i.e. separable variables, linear, exact/non-exact,
homogeneous and Bernoulli differential equations.
 Solve a high-order differential equations i.e. constant coefficients by using the
methods of undetermined coefficients, variation of parameters, reduction of order,
Cauchy-Euler and power series.
 Determine the Laplace transform by applying the derivative rules, s-shifting theorem,
t-shifting theorem and unit step function.
 Construct Fourier series.

Subject Synopsis Introductory concepts of ordinary differential equations and its applications, series
solutions of second order linear equations and Laplace transform and Fourier series.
