- Precious Gem is not very happy with her body size.

2. What are the person’s choices?


- Her choice is to diet so that she will be skinny as her friends.

3. Gather information: what information should the person gather that would be
helpful to know before making a decision?
- She would know what is the advantage and disadvantage of her choice.

4. Consider the outcome: what would be the result of the decision?


- If she know what is advantage and disadvantage of her choice there will be
a good outcome for it.

5. Make the decision. What should the person do?


- She will do her choice which is she will diet.

6. Evaluate your decision. Why do you think this is the best decision possible?
- I think this the right decision because if she will have diet the fat of her body
will be lessen until she become skinny.

- The problem is how could Heinrich Jio will budget his $75.00 for his present
during his birthday.

a. He could borrow Jeans from his classmates.
b. He will buy the important things he needed to his birthday present.

helpful to know before making decision?
a. Conduct a survey if how much the prices of jeans.
b. Asking his classmates or friends if they are having extra pair of jeans so
that he can borrow it.

4. Consider the outcome. What would be the results of the decision?


- It will help Heinrich Jio to decide if he will borrow a pair jeans or he will buy.

5. Make the decision. What should the person do?


- He will buy the pair of jeans if his money enough to the prices he survey or
canvass if not then he will borrow to his classmates or to his friends.

- Yes because not all things you can buy there are some things that we
consider in our lives, if we do not have then we borrow to our neighbor,
friends and others but if none ultimately then we can do sacrificing so that
the things we can have.

- She has ask an apologize to her friend and give the chance of the jeans

- So that her friend will not take that negative instead she will understand
what happened and their relationship as friend will not be broke.

a. His father, friends and relatives will told to him the advantage and
disadvantage of the piano lessons.

will be it.

a. Follow his mother because parents know the things which is good to their
children.
b. His mother will give him time to rest in learning piano lessons.

1. Why do newspapers have a substantially lower representation of minority


employees?
- Because the management is concern with their hiring quotas, so when their
quota has been already met, the other minority candidate will not be given
any change to represent.

2. Why has the program of Ramos Been successful at attracting minority


employees?
- Because this program can give the minorities a chance to get a job and
promotion based on their performance and capability as a minorities.
Minorities has been also attracted to this program because the company
urge them through sending a recruiter in jobs fair and publishing if to
classified ads in magazines.

3. What are some the possible problems with this program, now and in the future?
- The ending discrimination of a smaller group of people and employment of
minority can be vanish if the management is always concern on their quota
and rot giving a chance to the other minority candidates.

4. What advice would you give Mr. Ramos as he ponders the future of the
program?
- I would advice to Mr. Ramos that this program most give more job
opportunities, more chance to the minority people to perform or to execute
their capabilities to do their job. Employees must be send to seminars for
them to learn more, adopt more knowledge from the different experts.

1. What are some of the benefits that Redbird might enjoy from another round of
seminars?
a. The other company will have interests to join the seminar.
b. They will learn more or gain more knowledge in the seminar

2. How would you structure these seminars to maximize the benefit of better
communication?
a. You must have an good human relationship.
b. You must have an good communicate to each other
c. You should be a good entertainer.

3. What would Bill McGee tell the Executive Committee? How should he address
the inevitable question of cost and benefits?
- Bill McGee will tell to the executive committee that he can manage this
seminar and his presentation is excellent.

1. Use the BCG approach to help John Sullivan think about the strategy for DCI.
Are there obvious products that are stars, cash cows, question marks, and dogs?

=There are obvious products or that stars in the DCE business. Coffee imports can
consider as a star in the DCE approach because it has a high-growth industry. Air
compressors and basketball backboard can be consider as a dog because DCI
considered this two business as low-growth industry. Baby and inner matresses
can be categorized as question marked as it stated that this industry has been
growth after several hours.

2. How would Porter's model analyze George Russel situation?

=Porter's model analyze George Russel situation through recording all his
products and evaluate it.

3. To what extent can methods strategic planning give the managers at DCI a
method to talk to each other about their common problem?

=They will meet each other in a one place to discuss about their problem and
sharing their suggestions and opinions so that it will help to solve their problem

1. After reading the three situations, and before analyzing then, decide which of
the decision-making style alternatives (AI, AII, CI, CII, GII) you would personally
prefer to use in making each decision. Then answer the remaining questions.
- I choose the decision making style alternatives which is the CII.

2. Which is more important in the situation, quality or acceptance of the decision?


- For me the most important in the situation is the solving of problem or how
you solve the problem in the situation.

3. How critical is time in making decision?


- It is critical to make decision when you alone but if you gather information even
your alone you can make it.

4. Does the manager have the information necessary to make the decision?
- No, the manager should conduct survey or evaluation before having a making
the decision.

5. Is the decision. Making situation highly structured?


- Yes, because not immediately you have the information then you can make
the decision but you have to follow the procedure in making the decision or
step by step.

6. Choose the best decision. Making style (AI, AII, CI, CII, GII) and give the reason
for your choice.
- I choose CII because the manager share the problem with their subordinates
as a group, and they collect different ideas and suggestions from their
subordinates then they make the decision.
