Name: ________________________________________ Class Period: ____________

For this assignment, you will choose a person from the list provided by your teacher. Once you
have selected a person, complete the following:

Find signficant details about your person before you begin writing any question or
clue.

Using the examples from class as a guideline, generate eight questions that give clues to the
identity of your person without revealing their name. You must create at least one question
from each academic discipline: social studies, science, math, and ELA. Your questions must be
approved by Ms. Hofman. These questions should be grade-level appropriate.

AFTER your four questions from the required disciplines are approved, you should create four
more questions that are historically related. So you should have a total of 8 questions.

Your questions should not ask the audience about your person. We do not know who your
person is, so we would not know the answer. The questions should allow the audience to figure
out who the person is by solving the clues. It should be like a puzzle and we are trying to figure
out who your person is.

Once you have generated all eight questions, create your diagram. Place a question mark in the
middle of the page and surround it with your questions. Do not put the answers to the
questions on your diagram!!!

Questions/Clues: On this page, you will write your questions using the information and facts you researched about your
person. Remember, these questions should be clues about your person to help the audience figure out who your person
is. These questions should be grade-level appropriate questions (think about what you are learning in those classes to
help you write a clue). On your poster, the answers to the questions should not be given. Also, do not ask a question
that the audience would not know about your person (ex. Do not ask “what is my favorite color?” WE WOULD NOT
KNOW! Instead say, “My favorite color is when you mix yellow and blue together, what is it?” Then we could figure out
that their favorite color is green.)
