Job Summary The Bridge Engineering Department within AECOM is seeking a talented Intermediate
Project Engineer – Structural for employment in the Whitby, Ontario office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Structural analysis and design of transportation infrastructure
Inspection and evaluation of structures
Construction structural liaison
Preparation of specifications, reports, cost estimates
Project management, including proposal writing
Support of junior staff and technical staff
Work within project schedule and budget

Minimum Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent

Requirements 5+ years of experience in the design and project management of transportation
structures including bridges, culverts, tunnels and retaining walls
Experienced in concrete design, pre-stressed and post tensioned concrete, steel
design
Familiar with the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code and the Ontario Building
Code
P.Eng. licensed in Ontario
Hands on experience with bridge design and analysis software (Midas, SFrame),
AutoCAD or MicroStation
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
Ability to work well independently or as a part of the project multidisciplinary team
Must possess a Class G driver’s license

Preferred 8+ years of experience in the design and project management of transportation

Qualifications structures including bridges, culverts, tunnels and retaining walls
