A Report Of Industrial Visit

Industrial visit is a vital part of the curriculum. It helps to bridge the gap between classroom and
the real working world. The visit also provides first hand knowledge about the organizational
structures and modes of operation in different industries.

Industrial visit was planned by MBA department. 22th Aug. 2016 to 26th Aug. 2016 organized
auto week and on 25th august 2016, we visited company Volkswagen Chakan, (Pune) plant.

Objectives of auto week and IV

The objective of this visit was to provide real life exposure to MBA students about knowledge of
business systems and their automation by applying it.

About plant

The Volkswagen plant in chakan occupies a total area of over 2.3 million square meters
(575 acers), with building covering about 1,15,000 square meters.

Plant establishment: 31st march, 2009.


Learning from this Industrial visit:

o This chakan plant they are manufacturing car’s is big volume.


o They manufacturing capacity is about 135000 car’s in one year.
o About 80% manufacturing process are done by robots & machinery and
remaining work done by their works.
o They use KUKA Robat, and some body shop we had seen different type of
vail ding that use of making Volkswagon cars. Those vail ding known as Roof
Ledger Vail ding.
o I learnd from this visit of all manufacturing process of their cars.
o After completed our visit we asked some question to their representative
Mr. Chaitnya Halbe.
o This Industrial Visit we gathered detailed knowledge about this plant.
