Committee Message
With stage one of our sate of the art complex now ready, this year continues to be
one of the most successful in Fgura F.C.'s history. Thanks to our forward-looking
mentality, plans for the next stage are now already in process and due for
completion within the near future. Stage two will take the club to new heights as it
will incorporate a kids play area and a another 5 a side football pitch. After the
promotion to the second division this year our sights are firmly fixed on a first
division spot. Having already signed up new players, our senior team together with
the management have put these words into action thus showing the commitment
and desire to make this happen.

The club has once again re-elected the twelve strong committee along with a
dedicated nursery sub-committee for the first time. The club continues to attract
new followers and guests also through the Futsal squad, women's team and other
social activities that take place on a monthly basis.

The 2011/12 accounts clearly show a successful financial year, with a promising
season ahead for 2012/13. As a non-profit organisation, any financial income is re-
invested within the club in order to upgrade its current operations. This will in turn
make Fgura F.C. The host of an even larger community, which is currently attracting
around 300 individuals on a daily basis.

Nursery

The Fgura Youth Nursery is situated in Valperga Road, Fgura, a complex which comprises
an 11-a-side and 5-a-side synthetic turf pitch. Including other facilities like a bar, 3 dressing
rooms, a committee room and hall. The logo of the Fgura Nursery consists of a Child
proudly wearing Nursery football kit aside to the logo of Fgura United parent Club. Logo
designed by Robert Tabone - ex-player and one of the first coaches in the Nursery. The
main aims of the Fgura United Nursery are to help youths in physical and moral discipline
by imparting our knowledge of and teaching the beautiful game of football to youngsters
according to the traditions embedded in our history, and in line with FIFA, UEFA, the Malta
Football Association and Youth FA rules. Furthermore all this is done principally with the
scope to create a sense of Fair Play and to build in our children a strong character in a
moral and clean environment.

The Fgura Youth Nursery was founded in 1995 where Fgura United for the first time
opened its door to youths who were still young to participate in the MFA Youth League.
YFA affiliation was obtained immediately. This was an important new concept for Fgura
United which offered a continuous development of young future players. When in 1995 the
committee had decided to start also participate in the Youth Football Association league,
with the Under 16, 14 and 12 teams and later with the Under 10, had to sacrifice so called
'splinter team’ the Fgura Athletics, a team that was taking part in the Inter Amateur Soccer
Competitions – a Member Association within the MFA. It was very challenging step, but a
wise step at the same time. The importance of its nursery for Fgura United motivated the
formation of the new subcommittee of the Nursery this year.

Today the Fgura Nursery Club is hosting more than 120 children from different age and
gender, a good number which is forecasted to increase. The Fgura Nursery Club has
developed in a professional structure which includes a head Coach and 10 other coaches
and offer a 7 day training schedule for different age groups from under 7 to under 19. For
the first time the Fgura Nursery subcommittee decided to introduce the under 5 as well.
Fgura Nursery Club offers a safe and healthy environment for children who develop their
football skills by means of various equipment, this year the Fgura Nursery subcommittee is
committed to continue investing in the latest technology in equipment which includes
interactive tools. Lifelong learning and continues development is a concept which is being
introduced in this nursery where coaches will be given all the resources necessary to
further develop their skill to be in a better position to improve the abilities of our children.
Health and Safety of children is of countless importance to our Nursery committee thus
this year will look to empower our coaches with basic First Aid courses. The Fgura Nursery
will embark in a project to promote a more participative role in the parents by an
awareness campaign of various issues and concepts which are of importance not only in
football but also in the day to day life. This will be obtained through different talks and
courses from professional people and continuous dialogue between the nursery
subcommittee, the parents and our coaches. This will convert our Football Nursery to a
community of families.
Every season, the nursery takes part in various tournaments around the island, and
organises various activities like penalty shoot-outs, family outings, training camps,
Barbeques and special nights for all the nursery’s players and their parents. This year it is
Fgura Nursery subcommittee's intention to intensify these activities and coordinate new
activities both on a National and International level.
Along the years the Fgura United Nursery won the following honors but it is its intention to
continue this by winning other honors the following years.

During the first quarter of 2012 the Club, through a sponsorship deal with PIG Agency,
launched its new website. During the opening ceremony of the new Fgura United F.C.
complex, the UEFA President Michel Platini officially launched this new channel that
proved to be a great success throughout the rest of the season.

While the fan base is still growing these statistics that supporters follow this channel on a
regular basis with an average of 10 different views for each visitor thus increasing the chances
of any advertising being noticed by such visitors

The foundations behind the success of any club are their sponsors. The Club recognises
this fact and is committed towards maximising the potential exposure at its disposal for
such benefactors.

As a result Fgura United F.C. has re-organised its sponsorship packages in order to cater
for multiple types of sponsors. Packages are tailor made for corporate sponsors to
community sponsors as outlined below.

Packages A - C cater for what the Club refers to as Platinum sponsors. These packages
ensure maximum exposure in strategic spaces and media available.

Packages D - F cater for Community sponsors. These types of packages tend to lean on
the more affordable side in order to cater for all those who want to put their name out there
while helping the Club at a relatively low cost.

A sponsors' page will be designed on the newly launched website in order to promote
sponsors at Fgura United F.C. The Sponsors' Page will include all the logos of businesses
purchasing these package.Once our visitors click on a particular logo, an information page
will slide out with the following information

This page will be featured as one of the main tabs of our homepage and regular mentions
on our Social Media platforms will be posted

Team Board

The club will be installing a large team photo in the main conference room, underneath
which there will be available space that will be used to promote sponsors buying these
package.

Annual Calendar

The club publishes an Annual Calendar at the end of each year and is distributed among
the Fgura Community along with the club's players, members & families. As part of this
package the club will be giving sponsors the opportunity to have their logo or related
artwork displayed in one banner space that appears at the bottom of one page / month.
Sponsors can also choose the month in which they would like to be displayed in order to
increase the effectiveness of this advert according to industry exigencies and trends. This
feature is available subject to availability.

sponsorship package. The banner space will be booked for the next 12 months upon
