membrane element performance when Stage 1 and Stage 2 Permeate flow rates are known/measured.
To Get Started:
1 Left click your mouse on the "Configuration" Tab. All required system information is in green fill
2 From the drop down lists enter Toray membrane model #(s), enter # of pressure vessels (PV) / stage, and # of elements / PV
3 Next select the desired engineering units. These units must remain consistant for all data entries in the workbook
4 Next left click your mouse on the "Data" tab where membrane performance data is to be entered
5 Starting on row 7, enter membrane performance data in columns A through P. All columns after the Date entry must contain data
6 Baseline data to establish recommended cleaning lines are generated by averaging the data entered in rows 7 - 10.
7 The following three (3) tabs contain graphed normalized membrane performance data by Overall system, Stage 1 and Stage 2
these graphs will "expand" automatically as membrane performance data is entered. The sheet is set up for a maximum of one
data point per day. Idealy, performnace data should be enterd once per day when the RO system is in operation
Contact the Toray Technical Service Department if there is an interest in the "SCADA" tab/function. Some customizing of this worbook will be required
The flow chart below is provided to illustrate where, in the process diagram, the required performance data is obtained
The yellow cells are exactly what will be found in the "Data" tab.

Steps To Take
1 Configure the Element Type and Array Layout - Sheet = Configuration
2 Specify the units for temperature, pressure, and flow.
Deg C or F psi, kpa, bar gpm, m3/hr, l/min
3 Add data - starting with the SECOND ROW of data
All the input ad calculated values must be present.
If your data comes in differently then you may change what is entered vs what is calculated
4 If the number of data rows exceeds the area with calculations pre-placed - simply copy the row above
As released the graph name manager goes to row 1200. If you get more rows than 1200, INSERT b
ADD DATA USING THE "DATA" SHEET, THESE ARE EXAMPLE DATA ONLY for a SINGLE STAGE UNIT. MINIMUM
