 GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR ADMISSION

General

1. The candidates are required to fill in the complete details in the various columns. They should not leave
any space blank.
2. The candidates are required to attach the following documents along with the application form.
a) Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- drawn on any schedule bank payable at Udaipur.
b) Copies of mark sheets from Secondary to the qualifying examination.
c) Character Certificate.
d) Caste Certificate (for reserved category only).
e) Medical certificate.

(A) Admission to Ph.D.

(a) The candidate should have a degree in the appropriate branch of engineering with overall grade point
average of 3.20/4.00 or 7.0/10.0 or equivalent.
(b) For sponsored candidates the application should be forwarded through the employer. However, the
candidate must send and advance copy along with the fee of Rs. 1000/- before last date of the
submission of the application.
(c) No. Scholarship is available for Ph.D. candidates at present.

(B) Admission to M.E. (Ag., Mech., Computer, Electrical, Mining )

(a) The admission will be made on the basis of branch of study.

(b) The candidate should have passed qualifying examination with 6.0/10.0 OGPA or equivalent.(5%
relaxation for SC/ST candidates ).
(c) The allotment of the branch will be done at the time of interview and on the basis of merit.
(d) If any candidate fails to appear in the interview his/her case for admission will not be considered at later
stage.
(e) The candidate seeking admission in M.E. programme from discipline other than Agricultural
Engineering will be required to take additional pre-requisite courses requiring one additional semester.

(C) Admission to MBA

(a) The admission will be made on the basis of JMET Score, interview and group discussion .
(b) The programme will have three specializations : Production and Operation Management, Technology
Management and Information Technology Management.
(c) If any candidate fails to appear in group discussion and interview he will not be considered for
admission at later stage.
(d) The candidate should have passed qualifying examination with minimum of 60% marks or equivalent
OGPA (5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates ).

The duration of M.E. /MBA and Ph.D. will be FOUR and SIX semesters, respectively.

For admission in ME/MBA and Ph.D. programmes, candidates who have passed B.E. examination with
60% marks or OGPA of 2.75/4.00 or 6.00/10.00 and M.E. with 70% marks or OGPA of 3.20/4.00 or
7.00/10.00 respectively from recognized University are eligible. The candidates seeking admission in M.E. with
valid GATE SCORE will be given preference. The candidates seeking admission in MBA must have valid
JMET SCORE. However, for MBA, final admission will be made on the basis of merit, interview and Group
Discussion up to the prescribed intake capacity.

Those already in service can be considered as sponsored candidates, if their application is forwarded
through their employer

The last date of receipt of completed application form in the office of DEAN, College of
Technology and Engineering, Udaipur (Rajasthan) Pin 313001 is 09 th July, 2010. Application forms can be
downloaded from our websites www.mpuat.ac.in or www. ctae.ac.in. Application form should be
submitted along with application fee of for Rs. 1000/- through demand draft in favour of Dean,
C.T.A.E., payable at Udaipur.

Please note that the personal interview for admission shall be held on 23 rd July, 2010 at 11.00
AM in the office of the Dean. The classes will start on 05th August, 2010 .

Candidates admitted in Agriculture & Mining Engg. shall have to deposit a fee of Rs. 20150/-
(Annual) + 2000/- (One time refundable) i.e. 22150/- . However, in Computer, Electrical & Mechanical
Engg., they shall have to deposit a fee of Rs. 47150/-(Annual) + 5000/- (One time refundable) i.e. 52150/-
as college fee and Rs. 10000/- (Annual )+ 3000 (one time refundable ) 13000 as hostel fees.

 Fee for MBA Programme will be Rs. 50000/- as Programme fee per semester and Rs. 12000/- as
University Fee per year plus Tuition fee of Rs. 6000/- per year. Students admitted in MBA programme
will be required to deposit other fee applicable for post graduate programme.
