Introduction

For the 1st year of their study, HM students are required to work for 40 hours in the Hospitability
industry on an operational level and write a report about this. This assignment is part of the module
“Resources” that focuses strongly on HRM. Gaining experience and learning by connecting practice
to theory are the objectives of the orientation.

Student profile

The students in the abovementioned module are in their first year of study and have limited
knowledge of the hospitality industry. They have fulfilled the selection criteria HM and have a
High School diploma and, in many cases, practical experience on an operational level in the
hospitality industry.

Assignment

Before or during the module Resources, students are expected to work on an operational level for 40
