To prepare for end of the year assessments, please go over


the following with your child:

Review all letters of the alphabet.


You child must be able to:
□ Identify and name all 26 uppercase letters
□ Identify and name all 26 lowercase letters
□ Produce the correct sound for each letter in the alphabet
□ Write all upper and lowercase letters
□ Write/spell many 3 letter word family words (CVC words)

Continue to read with your child every night!

Beginning Blends:
(Students will learn how to combine two letter sounds to make these common beginning
blends)

Silent e:
(Students will learn how words change when a silent e is added to the end. A silent e at
the end of a word makes the middle vowel sound says its name.)
