To Whom It May Concern: 

 
I am writing this letter on behalf of Hector Villanueva and it is a pleasure and privilege 
to do so. I became acquainted with Hector last year, as he was one of my top students 
in my junior English class. He is hard working, determined, and responsible.   
 
He has been involved in our school’s hip-hop club and also the freshmen through 
varsity football teams. As the end of the school year is fast-approaching, this 
thoughtful young man is excited to begin his adult life. 
 
After Hector finishes his senior year, he has various career goals such as completing 
an undergraduate degree from a state college. He will be the second person in his 
family to obtain an education in a collegiate environment. I have no doubt he will 
reach any goal he sets. I wish him all the best.
