TRAINING FILES NEEDED FOR EXERCISES

There are various files and other resources that are used in the exercises. Exercise 1 of the course
describes the steps to launch the initialization. After running the script a single folder with the course name
HA100 will appear in your local machine and will contain the files needed for the exercises.

All the steps to set up the system, mainly SAP HANA Studio and the SAP Web IDE for SAP HANA, are
included at the beginning of exercises 1, 2 and 3.

CHECK THAT THE SMART DATA INTEGRATION DATA PROVISIONING AGENT IS RUNNING

Estimated time to complete the steps below is 15 min.

New for this release, we setup SDI with a remote source for each student from 00 to 10.
To check if its working please follow the steps below:

Check the status of the DPAgent below:
a. Open Putty session using the following credentials
adauser@wdflbmt7215

Known system issues

· Google Chrome updates can prevent some exercises or demos from working, because they can
bring new features that are not yet supported by the web-based tools such as the Web IDE for SAP
HANA.

Workaround/Solution:
Never accept any chrome update or turn on the auto-update feature, even if you’re suggested to.

· SDI Agent Startup is not always starting properly.

Workaround/Solution:
Make sure you executed the step to check the SDI Provisioning Agent (and start it if it is stopped) in
the Section ADDITIONAL SYSTEM SETUP TASKS.

DETAILED DURATIONS AND EXERCISES DEPENDENCIES

This information is intended to guide instructors with their time management for classroom deliveries of this
course. The timing of the lectures also includes demos of the exercises and of course time for questions.

We have made this information available for Live Access users as it might be helpful to know how much time

Also, Live Access users might find it helpful to know the dependencies of the exercises in case they want to
go directly to them instead of working through them all sequentially, as we do in the classroom.
