• Page 6:- Division of plants into lichens, bryophytes, teridophytes etc should be
avoided. It can be written in simple language.
• Page 17:- Example of lichens as symbiont be avoided.
• Page 17:- Example`s of insectivorous. plants should be in Simple language i.e.
Common names.
• Page17:- Example of Loran thus, Rafflesia can be excluded.
• Page18:- Antibiosis (Topic) can be excluded.
• Page 20,21:- Tables should be simplified
• Page 23,24:- Tables on this paper should be deleted.
• Page 27:- Introduction of exotic species-example of Nile perch can be excluded it
can be replaced by common example of American cockroach.
• Page30:- Give full form of ‘ZSI’
• Page 31:- Replace the Scientific names of organisms (fish) by Common names.

Unit II:- Environment management

• Environment laws on Page 46,47&48 should be short listed.
• Names of organizations related to solve environmental problems should also be
written in abbreviated form in English.
• On Page 56-57:- examples of plants, microbial and animals indicators should
be taken from routine life & scientific names should be omitted.

• Page 59:- the table ‘tksktoBh jtk dh r[DtZsk d/ okÙNoh fwnko’ (PCB 1994)
can be excluded.
• Page 60 & 61:- the abbreviation ‘2eq’& ‘leq’ should be checked.
• Page 61-62:- the matter given in green colur does not seem to be
relevant.
• Page 63-64:- the matter given in pink colur should be simplified.
Unit iii Sustainable Development

• Page 96-97 :- All detail about the world summit on sustainable

development can be deleted.

Unit iv :- Sustainable agriculture

• Page 130:- Punjabi translation of Bacillus thuriengiensis (Bt)

E{ohfin?Bf;; should be corrected.

• Name of praying Mantis should be translated in Punjabi

• Page 130:- Spellings of ‘ftehoD’ should be corrected.

• Page 130 :- Description about ‘Rotenone’s’ can be deleted.

• Page130 :- Check the technical words like ‘Pheromones’, irradiation
etc.

Unit v :-
• On Page 138- name of Chapter not written.

For all the units, the questions should given according to question paper
pattern i.e. one word questions, very short questions, short question and long
question. Language for all chapters should be simplified.

General Comments
PSEB books should be make available in market.
Use of common names only.
Scientific names should be avoided.
