 INTRODUCTION
India is passing through the period of demographic dividend wherein large number
of youth is available in the working age. On the other hand economic conditions are
not able to generate enough jobs to absorb even the qualified youth coming out
from the colleges. We are in a situation where we have net job seekers.
Government and Private efforts are not sufficient to fulfill the increasing demand of
jobs.
It is imperative that we should be able to create an environment where the qualified
youth become the job creator than job seeker. This will not only employ the youth
themselves but the system shall carry along with it many other job seekers. We
need to create large number of entrepreneurs to resolve the present predicament.

This business plan competition is an effort to bring in best students from different
Institutes / Universities to come on a single platform to share their acumen to make
a business plan and lead an enterprise.

OBJECTIVES
The main focus of this competition is:
• To cultivate a culture of entrepreneurship amongst the youths.
• To encourage students to learn how to convert their ideas into a business
plan that can be turned into a start-up project.

OBJECTIVES EVALUATION
Each plan shall be evaluated in two phases:
Phase-1: Discussion round with the panel (30 Marks)
Phase-2: Presentation round before the panel (70 Marks)
[Note: Top ten teams from Phase-1 shall progress to Phase-2 to present their
Business Plan before the panel]

ELIGIBILITY
Business Plan Competition is open to all bonafide PG Students of Management and
Computer Science disciplines of a recognized Institution/ University.

Cash Award for Winners

First Prize: Rs.10,000/-
Second Prize: Rs.7,500/-
Third Prize: Rs.5,000/-

All Participants will be awarded with “Certificate of Participation”

 GUIDELINES FOR PARTICIPATION
1. Each team can have maximum 3 members.
2. Maximum 2 teams can participate from one Institute/University.
3. Each team is to send complete Business Plan by 31st January, 2018 through e-
mail at ' bpc@gitarattan.edu.in'.
4. A hard copy of the same plan is to be submitted at the time of registration on 7th
February, 2018.
5. Each Business Plan should be accompanied by a Certificate of its being original
piece of work on the Institute's letterhead and countersigned by the Head of the
Institute.
6. The first page of each entry should contain Name of the Institution; Name of
the Team Leader; Name(s) of the Team Members; Age(s); Mailing Address;
Contact Number(s); Email Id; and the course pursuing. The identity of the
contestants should not be mentioned anywhere else in the document.
7. The contents of Business Plan should include: Executive Summary, Mission
Statement, Market Summary, Opportunities, Business Concept and Description,
Competition and Threats, Goals and Objectives, Marketing Plan, Production Plan,
Operations Plans, Financial Analysis, Resource Requirements, Risks and Rewards,
Other key issues. (Maximum in 5000 words. The standard format for sending
business plan is Font: Times New Roman, Font Size: 12, Line Spacing: 1.5)
8. Alteration of plan / subsequent major modification will not be entertained.
9. Panel of Judges will have the sole discretion in judging the Executive Summary
and the Business Plan.

REGISTRATION
Registration fee for participation is Rs. 750/- (Rs. Seven hundred Fifty Only) per
team and to be paid in cash or through Demand Draft/ Banker's Cheque drawn in
favour of 'Gitarattan International Business School' and payable at Delhi.

Last Date of Submission of Business Plan: 31st January, 2018

Note: In case of any cancellation, no amount will be refunded. Participation fee

includes- tea, snacks, lunch, Kit and Registration fee. Outstation teams are to make
their own arrangements for lodging and boarding facility. However, assistance shall
be provided on request to avail the facility in the vicinity of the Institute.

giBS is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi and is approved by
All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for Management & Computer Science
courses and Bar Council of India for Law courses.
