texts in which they name what they are writing about and supply some information about the

With guidance and support from adults, respond to questions and suggestions from peers and
add details to strengthen writing as needed.
2. Teaching Model(s):
WG-begin day with Pledge of Allegiance all together
WG-Go through morning routines (calendar, sign language, sight words, morning videos, lively
letters)
WG-SW get white boards (call to get them by table) and begin phonemic awareness activity
WG-SW learn about pigs on pebble go
WG-Stand up hand up pair up, students will walk around room and pair up with somebody so
they can tell them a fact about pigs
WG-We will come up some facts together that we learned on the whiteboard
WG-Write 3 sentences about pigs
Independent- SW write three sentences on their own using the facts we learned
3. Objective(s):
-SWBAT understand yesterday today and tomorrow, how to correctly say the date, and identify
given sight words
-SWBAT identify beginning sounds and ending ap patterns
-SWBAT write three sentences using capitals and punctuation and correct spelling
5. Instructional Procedures:
a. Motivation/Engagement:
-Allow students to attempt pledge all together
-Review how students should be sitting, looking, and listening
c. Closure:
-Ask students if they can think of something they learned about pigs
-have them kiss their brains and say “good job brain”
