PRAYER UPON ENTERING THE PEW

Most gracious God, according to your loving word and wisdom the rain and
sun fall upon the earth and life bursts forth. Thank you for the return of
planting, pruning, and harvesting seasons, for the fertility of the soil, and
for providing nourishment for all of creation. Bless the work of scientists,
through whose work and passion we better understand nature. Move us
with the wisdom and passion to be a blessing to all people by sharing our
own experience of you life-giving grace. We pray this in Jesus Christ,
through whom and in whom all exist, in the loving power of the Holy
Spirit. Amen.

cannot live. Nourish our life in his resurrection, that we may bear the fruit
of love and know the fullness of your joy, through Jesus Christ, our Savior
and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now
and forever.
Amen.
Please be seated.
