It is my pleasure to highly recommend Sarah Emington to you. As her

University Supervisor,I havo been extremely impressed with her overall
professional teaching performance.

Utilizing the local curriculum and standards, Sarah developed lesson plans using a
variety of strategies to reach a diverse group of students. For example, she used
hands-on math stations, differentiated assignments, activities that integrated
movement, think-pair-share, and projects that allowed for student choice. She
always introduced new content by connecting it to previously learned material.
Moreover, she clearly explained and modeled expectations and provided
examples to ensure students were successful.

In regard to technology, Sarah used TeachersPayTeachers to research ideas for

activities, NewsELA to provide students the opportunity to complete
differentiated reading assignments, and Google Classroom, Kahoot, iReady, and
Illuminate to formatively assess progress. She also used Bloomz to communicate
information to students and their families, posted grades on PowerSchool, and
shared her lesson plans through Planbook. Sarah is eager to learn about new
technology that can help her best meet the needs of all of her students.

During her student teaching experience, Sarah volunteered her time to assist
students in the after-school tutoring program and helped with the Talent Show as
well. She attended staff meetings, professional development opportunities, PLC
meetings, an IEP meeting, and a School Improvement meeting. All of her
interactions with students, parents, and faculty were professional and polite.

Sarah is highly reflective and consistently seeks feedback to ensure her students
are successful. I strongly encourage you to consider her for a position, as I feel
